Daisy

Daisy faced an uncertain future as a stray at Bastrop Animal Control Services. We adopted her, spent over a year training her, and now she is a First Responder Facility Dog who helps veterans and first responders throughout Central Texas.

Working with with Peer Counselor Chris Orton, himself an Army veteran and former law enforcement officer, Daisy supports veterans and first responders struggling with PTSD, depression, and other mental health crises as a result of their sacrifice keeping the rest of us safe.
