Meet Our Matches

Updated: 1 day ago

We are ringing in 2025 with a series of exciting Client-Dog matches. During Matching, we introduce each client to multiple dogs in advanced training to determine the best fit.

Meet our first Service Dog Teams of 2025!

Jackson & Disco

Jackson suffered a traumatic brain injury as a child. He lives on his own. With Disco's help, he will soon be applying for a job.

Sponsor: C. C. Carlton Industries

Amy & Elvis

Elvis is Amy's second SDI Service Dog. He will help her retain her independence and with her work supporting others with disabilities.

Camilo & Steinway

Camilo sustained combat injuries serving our country in the Army. His natural leadership compliment Steinway's great work ethic to make them an ideal team.

Sponsor: Ruth C. And Charles S. Sharp Foundation

After their customized training to tasks specifically requested by Jackson, Amy and Camilo, our next teams will undergo their 5-day Team Training Course at our campus. Next, we move Disco, Elvis and Steinway into their new partners' home and continue 3 months of weekly In-home training sessions.

Van Fundraiser

We drive thousands of miles across Texas to our clients' hometowns for weekly In-home training lessons. We also travel to animal shelters all over the state to scout for dogs.

Our current vans are running on fumes, duct tape and zip ties. Can you help us get new wheels?

We are currently raising $50,000 to purchase two new vans or SUVs to keep our staff and dogs safe on the road. Your help will be much appreciated!

Teen Seeking Forever Family Visits with KVUE-TV

Aidan is a senior in high school about to potentially age out of foster care. He loves animals and art class, and he is interested in possibly joining the Army.

KVUE's Hannah Rucker met up with Aidan here recently to learn more about him, his love of animals and his hope for the future.

Animals bring out the best in me," he said. "I remember as a little kid, we had a black-and-white German Shepherd and it was my job to take care of her."

Aidan said after years of searching, he's hoping to find the right fit for a family.

"It's pretty hard, but when it comes to families, you just have to know what's right. With adoption, you don't know what you're going to get out of it," Aidan said. "Sometimes, it's bad mentors and bad people. Sometimes, it's good people, but [they] don't know who you really are. It's up to you to really express yourself."

As for exactly what he's looking for, he said, "A kind person that gets me."

To learn more about Aidan or to put in an inquiry to adopt him, visit his page on the Heart Gallery of Central Texas.
